Bitcoin Faces Pressure with Strong U.S. Job Data

Bitcoin faced pressure following strong U.S. job data, falling to US$ 79,384.47. The volatility in the cryptocurrency market reflects growing economic uncertainties and expectations of monetary policy adjustments by the Federal Reserve.

On this Friday, the cryptocurrency market saw contrasting movements following the release of U.S. payroll data. The most well-known virtual currency, Bitcoin (BTC), which had reached a peak of US$ 82,000 the previous day, fell to US$ 79,384.47 by 11 AM according to CoinGecko. This development is significant in a macroeconomic context where investors are closely monitoring global monetary policies and their implications on the global economy, including impacts on digital currencies. The XRP experienced a gain of 2.8%, with prices rising to US$ 1.41 within 24 hours, contrasting with the more cautious outlook for BTC. Marco Aurélio de Camargos, CIO at Vault Capital, highlights US$ 80,000 as a key level for evaluating the current movement of BTC. Strong U.S. payroll data and expectations of Federal Reserve (Fed) rate adjustments appear to have triggered a wave of caution among cryptocurrency investors, suggesting persistent volatility amid elevated global economic uncertainties. Vault Capital notes that ETF inflows and liquidation of short positions contributed to BTC’s advance on the previous day but saw demand wane temporarily after the announcement.
