Pimco's Wilding Predicts September Fed Hold
Pimco's Tiffany Wilding forecasts that the Fed will keep interest rates unchanged in September following the recent CPI report. The decision is based on a balanced approach to monetary policy amid rising inflation and economic growth concerns.
Economist Tiffany Wilding from Pimco, one of the world’s largest asset management firms, shared her insights on the current economic scenario and monetary policy outlook for the United States during an interview with 'Bloomberg Surveillance'. She predicted that the Federal Reserve (Fed) will maintain its interest rates unchanged in September. This stance is based on a cautious balance between inflationary pressures and the need to support economic growth, as reflected by the latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) report from the US, which showed an acceleration in inflation but not enough to warrant an immediate rate hike.
