Revealed: Banqueur’s Engagement with Lula’s Administration

Intercepted messages reveal ongoing negotiations between bank owner Daniel Vorcaro and the Lula administration since April 2024, potentially influencing economic policies and financial strategies in Brazil.

Recent revelations from intercepted communications between the police and Daniel Vorcaro, a prominent bank owner, have shed light on strategic interactions with the current government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. These messages, extracted from Walfrido Warde's phone, reveal a series of conversations spanning April 2024 to January 2025, suggesting a planned effort to bring Vorcaro closer to governmental circles. The communications started with the identification of a dialogue channel between Vorcaro and the Palácio do Planalto through Marcola, the then Chief of Staff. In April 2024, Warde asked Vorcaro to draft an email outlining Master Bank's interests. This approach suggests a strategic plan aimed at facilitating future meetings between Vorcaro and President Lula.
